Cyclists can join the fun in the morning at the 31st annual Peninsula Century Spring Classic ride that takes place in conjunction with the festival. Open Saturday, October 23 and Sunday, October 24 from 11am-6pm, this is a rare chance for visitors to visit the Shipyard, which is only open to the public twice a year for artist events.

Couples will love the special nighttime maze events on October 1, 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and November 6 and 13 from 6-10pm. One of the biggest fall events in Essex County, this street fair will feature arts and crafts, kiddie rides, merchandise, and food. With so many vendors, this 6-block area will be filled with fun. The Hudson River Color Walk will start at 10AM on September 25th with live performances and yoga at City Hall in Jersey City. The 2-mile walk will then continue into Pier A in Hoboken where the color festival will start at 12PM-8PM.

The village of Lake George offers a month long celebration of winter during the Lake George Winter Carnival, an annual family friendly event. The Winter Carnival is held each weekend throughout February.

If your family needs a break from the Ferris wheels, Zippers, Scramblers and other traditional carnival rides, go to this county fair for something a little different. The midway is home to a variety of bounce houses, obstacle courses, a rock-climbing wall and other attractions. Wine season in Colorado starts right here in Manitou Springs every June. Sample wines from nearly 30 Colorado wineries, browse eclectic vendors, and enjoy live music in Manitou's favorite downtown park. Amateur boatbuilders and model enthusiasts will gather in St. Michaels to race, demonstrate and enjoy their small crafts.
