With 8 acres of corn, Maryland Corn Maze, invites you to come in and get lost ! This fall, take the ultimate road trip through their "Mazein' Across America #roadtrip2021" corn maze. General admission to the maze also includes access to some fall fun activities such as a petting zoo, hayrides, ziplining, pedal tractors and more!
The corn maze is open from Sept. 18 to Nov. 7 from 10 a.m. To guarantee admission it is recommended you pre-purchase tickets online. Weekend admission is $12 for guests ages 3-59 on Saturdays and Sundays, plus Fridays in October 10 am – 7 pm, and Mondays 10 am – 3 pm. Your admission covers all activities with the exception of the sling shot and arrowhead hunting areas. Hillcrest Orchards is a seasonal business and is only open September 4th - October 31, 2021. Hillcrest is family owned and operated and has been growing apples and fun for children, adults and seniors since 1946. Tickets cost $10 per person on week days and $14 per person of weekends .
During the fall you can rent your own campsite and a food truck will be there on weekends. When you're not roaming through the rope maze, take a ride on the hay wagon or pet the barnyard animals. Then go shopping for cider, wine and other treats made from apples picked right on location. Let the kids loose in the expanded kids' area and the hay bale maze or bring out their inner Picasso with gourd painting.
At Howell's Pumpkin Patch, it's all about having fun on the farm. You can pick your own pumpkin or buy one pre-picked. There are plenty of attractions to go along with the popular corn maze — including a bathtub train, two-seater trikes and push-pull go-karts. Kids can take a ride on a wagon with the price of admission or a pony for $5 more. Its Apple Acres family play area includes a four-acre corn maze, sunflower patch, corn box, petting zoo, giant slides, jumping pillow, apple slingshots, and more.
Additional weekend activities include haywagon rides, a tractor barrel train, and one free u-pick pumpkin. Red Wolf Farm will be opening every Saturday & Sunday starting October 1st, and you don't even need a reservation! Head over and enjoy the pumpkin patch and an awesome, newly-designed corn maze you can try to escape. Tickets are $6 and include a long list of fall activities, such as all-you-can-ride Hayride, kids corn maze, adult corn maze, a bounce house, and even pumpkin bowling. One of the coolest corn-mazes of the season will be at Hall Family Farms, with a Lord of the Rings inspired maze that'll feel like you're in Middle Earth.
The maze starts September 24th through October 31st, with daily and nightly mazes that cover 7 acres of land. Already picked apples can also be purchased in ourFarm Market. Snead's Fall Festival fully opens on September 25 through October 31. It costs $9 per person on weekdays (children 2 & under are free), and this price includes unlimited hayrides and full use of the play areas. There will be a small amount of food vendors, so you can bring your own food. It costs $12 a person on the weekend, and this includes unlimited hayrides and full use of the play space. No outside food is allowed because there will be plenty of food vendors .
I like this farm because you can always visit the farm store that has pumpkins and snack without paying admission. This is a great spot to get harvest pictures, even with little ones. I also love this farm for its festival like atmosphere - there are pony ride, vendors, animals, and more. We are really excited that the corn pit is back this year!
This was our favorite in 2019 because of all the activities. The free admission includes hayrides and access to the corn maze and pumpkin patch. Hayrides start on October 1, and they operate between 2-6 in the afternoon.
Growing up in Richmond, I've visited my fair share of apple orchards and pumpkin patches. In visiting new locations over the years, I've learned that not every farm works for us each season. While you are here stop by and visit our Bakery where we serve up our famous fresh apple cider donuts. Then browse through our Country Market gift shop and purchase a nice gift for a friend or family member while you enjoy a nice cup of coffee from our coffee bar.
